From the Office of Undergraduate Research Initiatives:
Panel Presentation on Interdisciplinary Research
Tuesday, November 9, 4:00pm
CGIS-South Belfer Case Study Room (S-020)
Our all-star panel includes:

Adam Cohen, Assistant Professor Department of Chemistry and Chemical Biology and Physics
Duana Fullwiley, Assistant Professor, Department of Anthropology
Amy Rowat, Research Associate, School of Engineering and Applied Sciences
Ever consider conducting research in global health (sociology/anthropology + medicine)? Science research and teaching in third-world countries (science + education)? How about the science of eating (biology + gastronomy)? Some other combination of academic disciplines? Our panelists will offer their own stories and suggestions about how to craft novel, creative, interdisciplinary research projects, including how to formulate a cross-disciplinary research proposal from a unique idea, ways to consider disparate disciplinary research methodologies, and how to get support and mentoring from faculty.
