My school already has a system in place to disseminate tailored funding opportunity information. What is different about HUFP?

HUFP is the mechanism used by the Office of the Vice Provost for Research to facilitate internal application competitions for LSOs (Limited Submission Opportunities) and some internal funding opportunities. These types of competitions accept applications from more than one school or institute across the university.

It is standard  practice in university research environments that a centrally located research office, in this example the Office of the Vice Provost for Research, manage those competitions that span schools, working closely with faculty peer reviewers and research development professionals (see RDCC).
