Revised Conflict of Interest Policy Posted

August 24, 2012
  • The Harvard University Office of the Vice Provost for Research has posted a revised version of the University's Policy on Individual Financial Conflicts of Interest for Persons Holding Faculty and Teaching Appointments.  The policy incorporates revisions approved by the President and Fellows in May, 2012 and is supplemented by a new document describing Procedures specific to the University's implementation of the August, 2011 Public Health Service Final Rule on the Responsibility of Applicants for Promoting Objectivity in Research for which Public Health Service Funding is Sought that goes into effect August 24, 2012.

Both documents can be found on the Conflicts of Interest policy page of the Vice Provost for Research website, along with additional guidance for faculty, investigators, and administrators to facilitate compliance with conflict of interest rules.
